COLUMBIA, SC (WIS)- The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating two deadly crashes in the Midlands Saturday.
The first occurred at about 4:30 a.m. Saturday in Clarendon County. Troopers say a driver from Eastover lost control of his car at the intersection of Georgia Pacific and Trinity Church Roads and hit a culvert.
The driver and a passenger were taken to the hospital. A second passenger died. The victim's names have not been released yet.
And at about 11:30 Saturday morning in Lee County, troopers say a pickup truck heading north on Joe Dority Rd. rear-ended a bicyclist. The bicycle was thrown into a ditch.
Troopers say the person riding the bicycle died. The Lee County Coroner has not released the victim's name.
