Study: Lee in top 5 for unhealthiest county in SC | Events
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A new study has ranked Lee County as the second unhealthiest place in South Carolina.
The rankings released Wednesday by the University of Wisconsin cite the county's adult obesity rate of 38%.
Beaufort County took the number one slot, with a relatively low adult obesity rate of 21%.
Marion County was listed as the state's unhealthiest county, with an adult obesity rate of 38%.
According to the rankings, South Carolina's overall adult obesity rate is 31%.
